Aether treats the airport as a threshold: the last building you see before you leave and the first one you see when you land. Instead of a roof sitting on a box, the whole terminal is one shell that rises out of the landscape and folds back down around the gates.
The shell is generated from a single parametric definition. Panel size, opacity and orientation respond to sun angle and to what happens underneath, so the facade is denser over check-in and opens up over the airside lounges.
